Abstract
The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of the Qur'an tahfidz program at Raden Patah Islamic Elementary School Surabaya and to describe the values of religious characters resulting from the implementation of the Qur'an tahfidz program at Raden Patah Islamic Elementary School Surabaya. This research is classified as descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques used interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results showed that the implementation of the Qur'an tahfidz program at SDI Raden Patah Surabaya used the method of habituation and exemplary with the tahfidz friend strategy, this was aimed at instilling the morals of the Qur'an and creating a Qur'anic generation in accordance with the juridical and theological basis. There are two dimensions of religious character values produced, namely divine values (praying before and after activities, saying greetings, saying hamdalah, istiqomah in reading the Qur'an, being honest in depositing memorization, and remaining humble in memorizing the Qur'an), human values (please help, shake hands with the teacher, responsible for improving his memorization, not looking at his colleagues higher or lower).
