ENRICHING ENGLISH VOCABULARIES THROUGH GUESSING WORDS FOR THE SEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS.

Abstract
The leaming methods and models used by the Wahid Hasyim Junior High School teacher
in Surabaya proved unable to motivate students' enthusiasm for learning, and could not
increase students' vocabulary. The implementation of the guessing model learning
method is expected to motivate students' enthusiasm for leaming, as well as enrich
students' English vocabulary. This study aims to describe using the guessing words is
effective or not to enrich students' English vocabulary and to find out the students'
response to using guessing words to enrich students' English vocabulary. This research is
classified as quantitative with a quasi-experimental research design. Data was collected
in two ways, namely Distribute Pre.Test and Post-Test, as well as Interview and Record
The Students Responses. The data analysis used pared sample t-test assisted by SPSS
version 20 program.
