Abstract

Technology is used by lecturer and students in teaching and learning activities especially in online learning. The lecturers and students in a private university in Surabaya also use technology in their teaching and learning activities. One of the applications which is commonly used by them is Google Meet. This research was conducted to find out students’ attitudes toward the use of Google Meet in online learning and to find out teaching and learning activities which are expected by students toward the use of Google Meet in online learning. This research is quantitative research which uses survey research design. Questionnaire was used to collect the data. 24 students were selected from the population as the sample by using stratified random sampling technique. The data was analyzed using statistical analysis of SPSS 20. The result of this research showed that the students have positive attitudes in cognitive, affective and behavior aspect toward the use of Google Meet in online learning. Interactive Discussion, Games (Ice Breaking), and Presentation using screen sharing are the three most teaching and learning activities expected by students toward the use of Google Meet in online learning.
