Abstract

The use of various learning media in learning to read is necessary to avoid monotonous learning activities make students easily bored. With the increasing development of technology, teachers can apply the Quizizz as a learning media to make the learning process fun and improve students' reading skills. Quizizz allows students to read a lot and understand the meaning of the text while answering questions on Quizizz. The focus of this research is 1) the learning process using quiz media on reading comprehension of descriptive text in grade 10. 2) student responses about the use of quiz media in learning reading comprehension. This researcher uses a qualitative method, namely by describing the learning process using quiz media and student responses from the use of quiz media obtained from primary data sources from questionnaires and secondary data from observations during the learning process. Test the validity of the data in this study using sources from students and triangulation methods from questionnaires and observations. The data analysis technique used is prediction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are based on observations from observational data where students can easily understand the material by using Quizizz media and it is fun and students respond easily, interestingly, enjoy and practically using Quizizz as a medium for learning English reading skills.
