IMPROVING THE STUDENTS VOCABULARY MASTERY BY USING KAHOOT IN 8TH GRADE AT JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN BANGKALAN.

Abstract
This research was conducted to find whether Kahoot can improve the vocabulary
mastery of the student at 8
grade in junior high school at Bangkalan and describe
how the implementation of Kahoot in teaching vocabulary to the student at 8
th
grade
in junior high school at Bangkalan. This study uses a Classroom Action Research
(CAR) design. Students’ vocabulary at the 8th B Grade in one of Islamic Junior
High School in Bangkalan has improved their vocabulary mastery after applying
Kahoot as a media in learning English as a Foreign Language. That can be proved
from students results that always increase gradually in each cycle. For instance in
the post-test 1st cycle the percentage of student scores rose to 47%, with an average
of 68, in the post-test 2nd cycle the percentage of student scores increased to 72%,
with a mean of 76, and the last post-test of the 3rd cycle showed the percentage of
successful students increased again to 87.5%, with an average of 81.
