Abstract

This research was conducted to find whether Kahoot can improve the vocabulary mastery of the student at 8 grade in junior high school at Bangkalan and describe how the implementation of Kahoot in teaching vocabulary to the student at 8 th grade in junior high school at Bangkalan. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design. Students’ vocabulary at the 8th B Grade in one of Islamic Junior High School in Bangkalan has improved their vocabulary mastery after applying Kahoot as a media in learning English as a Foreign Language. That can be proved from students results that always increase gradually in each cycle. For instance in the post-test 1st cycle the percentage of student scores rose to 47%, with an average of 68, in the post-test 2nd cycle the percentage of student scores increased to 72%, with a mean of 76, and the last post-test of the 3rd cycle showed the percentage of successful students increased again to 87.5%, with an average of 81. th
