Abstract
This study investigates the use of TikTok as a contemporary instructional medium in English listening activities and examines students' perceptions of this approach. Recognizing the widespread use of English and the low proficiency levels among Indonesian students, the research explores how familiar digital platforms like TikTok can enhance engagement and provide an alternative to traditional teaching methods. Using a mixed-method approach that includes observations, surveys, and interviews, the study evaluates students' attitudes, engagement levels, and experiences when exposed to TikTok videos in listening activities. The findings indicate that TikTok, with its combination of visual, auditory, and textual elements, significantly enhances students' interest and engagement in listening activities, demonstrating its potential as an effective tool for language learning.
